Hi All,
Researching software and was wondering if 'VCarve Wizard' would be a suitable program for producing flat and fluted dies for the printing industry?

Hi,

VCarve Wizard will do a great job of cutting Flat Foils so long as you only need to use 2 cutters - the first to rough out the pocketed flat areas and the second to engrave the detail where needed.

It doesn't include any recessed options for Fluted Foils, although it is possible to offset the vectors inwards to create the flat 'land' face and vcarve the top surface using a wide angled cutter (ie 120 degree).

You can test this for yourself using the Trial version.
