What gauge steel did you use? I had built the trex some time ago and used 10 gauge for him.

    Looks nice!

I made it out of 16 gauge steel The dxf I have needs some work as I had to force some of the parts together but it turned out all right in the end. If your interested I could upload the DXF for someone but I have to warn you it might have to have some modification made to it.

    Talking

I am not far enough advanced to post any files just yet.
I have an idea for one of my projects that may be construed as an artistic contribution.
The machinist Cube, can anyone dimension the paths for milling this cube so that the last operation would be to go back and release each cube.
This would make a great conversation piece.
I am thinking about a 3" cube with maybe 4 internals done in a nice hard timber.
I could maybe train some ants to go in and polish the inside

    cubes in a cube

The trick to the cube is using a key seat, or dovetail cutter to undercut each cube. You need to make plugs, so when you cut the last 2 sides, they don't move.

Does anybody know where this artwork is?

I think I found it somewhere in this thread but can't find it now.

I carved this in a scrap of MDF but no longer have the artwork.

Would like to do it in a nice piece of timber.

And while I am asking, any more similar to this?
