I am having problems setting up my axis on mach 3

On any of the axis, when + or - is pressed the axis move in the same direction (-)

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Sounds like you didn't wire the drivers from the breakout board right.

Had this happen before...If I recall correctly the step and direction pins for the axis in question were not set correctly. Try those and see wht happens.

Step signal is right, however direction signal not so much.

I have tried swapping them over on the card if that's what you mean? Can you be more specific? Is it in the settings? Cheers

Jog the axis in both directions, while measuring the voltage on the direction pin. It should be 5V in one direction, and 0V in the other.

What Ger21 say is right, Step and direction is what tells the driver what to do. Direction is either on or off depending on motor wiring it will go CW or CCW when direction is high or Low. The step signal is a pulse going from low to high for every pulse the motor will move 1 step (depending on stepper settings). As ger21 explains check the direction signal and jog both ways if the signal changes from high to low when you change jog directions, there will be a issue with the stepper. if not disconnect wiring from the stepper drive with power off ofcourse and try again, if you still don't get any change try it right at the breakout board, if still no change you either have a bad breakout board (you could check the LPT pins at this point) or you have wrong software settings. Which pin numbers are you having problems with?

Ps by High or low I mean 0v -3.3~5vdc (ttl)

Some drives need 5V, and won't change direction if they only see 3.3V.
