    Sieg SX2 spindle speed

Hi all, I am a newbie, just received my new SX2 mill, during first testing phase I noticed that the spindle speed fluctuates while running, does not seem much but the change in spindle speed is audible however. If I run the spindle at its slowest turning speed, and hold the spindle lightly, it twitches, slight jumping while turning. Is this normal? I just need to make sure as only have 90 days warranty!

    Welcome to the Zone!
It is common for the motor to accelerate if under load (holding the spindle). Motors dont generate much torque at their lowest rpms either. I would break it in for 10 minutes or so at 500 rpm increments til I was just under max. Feel the spindle housing while it is running, it should get no more than uncomfortably hot, not burning. There are some adjustments on the speed controller (most likely as I am not familiar with this particular machine) that could smooth the power out and potentially get more rpm and less hunting.

Thanks for the feedback, I am new to this machine, just concerned, I thought seeing that its a feedback brushless motor that it would run at very stable rpm.
