how to use a G540 and KFlOp

    Hi all,
New to CNC and the controls. In the collecting parts phase to CNC my mill. I have not bought Mach, looking at options, KFLOP sounds interesting.

I already have a G540 with the parallel port for a PC.

Can and if so, how does, Kflop wire into a G540?

    Hi johnyac,

KFLOP works well with Gecko G540. KFLOP has similar output signals as a PC Parallel Port and can generate much faster pulses with much less jitter. But KFLOP's connectors have different pinouts. You will need to make a custom cable. Connect KFLOPs Step and Direction pins to your G540 Step and Direction Inputs. Configure KFLOP's Step/Dir generators for 3.3V LVTTL outputs (not open collector mode).

    Thanks for the input Tom.

Does anyone have a drawing or pin configuration showing how to wire a G540 to the KFLOP?
