I have a sweet 1989 KMB3 Hurco with Ultimax II control.
Never had any major (?) electrical issues until now.
Yesterday the text screen suddenly changed from normal while I was programming .
The display on the screen was normal for the right half only.
The left half compressed towards the center and created a bright vertical line at the center of the screen.
I was programming and powered down the machine, for a minute.
Then I re-powered up and when the screen came on, it was the same semi-comnpressed view.
Then after about two minutes, It returned to normal.
Obliviously something with the monitor is going, but what?
Can I do something before total failure ?

Check all the capacitors for bulges and heating. Also check for dry joints.
