One of my technicians is trying to single point thread a 1" - 32 thread 0n a Mori Seiki SL-1a with a LX1 Yasnac control.

He is using g76 single line. G76 x-9617 Z-565 K.0191 D.003 F.0132 A60

He keeps getting an 096 error code:
D (cutting frequency) Specified by G73 zero or 128 or more.
I,K (rough cutting) specified by G73 both zero
D, K of G76 exceeding Programmable Range

I have tried my best to work this out but it has been a couple of decades since I have worked with this machine.

Can anyone help? I am about to toss it on the manual machine and single point it.

G76 P030060 Q0.003 R0.001 (in the P the first 2 numbers are the number of finish passes, 2nd 2 are chamfer amount at the end of the thread, last 2 numbers are the thread angle, Q=rough cut depth, R=finish amount)
G76 X-0.9617 Z-0.565 R0 P0.0191 Q0.008 F0.0132 (R=taper, Q=first cut depth)

I believe your D value is too small. Try D0.0033.

According to the manual: 1/6 K ≤ D ≤ K

K=0.0191
K/6=0.0031
D must be between 0.0031 and 0.0191 to satisfy above limit.
