ACME Leadscrew Acetal/Delrin and Ballscrew Kits and Plans for the Sieg X2 Mini-Mill

    Hi All-

I just wanted to announce that the ACME leadscrew kits are finally available for the Sieg X2 Mini-Mill!

The kits are "bolt-on" and include a replacement y-axis retaining block that's machined from aluminum and includes ball bearings, acetal/delrin nuts adjustable for reducing backlash, and ACME leadscrews rated at 0.003"/ft. accuracy and are from Nook.

Please feel free to visit the page for more details:

After much testing with ACME leadscrews and "precision" ballscrews, we've decided to offer both in addition to plans if you decide to make your own. (The plans and ballscrew kits will be available in the coming days.)

I'm happy to announce that we've been able to use both methods without reducing table travel! This was a tough but interesting challenge especially with the ballscrew upgrade.

Thanks for listening and feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

    Thanks!

    David
