Can the hobbycnc board handle diffrent voltages for say the z a axus.
I have a couple of old steppers that I'd like to use. the main steppers are 6 volt and The old ones are 4 volt. can I drop the power beteen the driver and the steppers ?

yes you can use different size motors with the board, each axis have individual v-ref. adjustments to match your motors.

Steppers are not controled by voltage. They are controlled by current. Stepper spec. (if you manage to get one) would specify current per phase. Now, most stepper controllers have capability to limit phase current at required level. This level is set by means of reference voltage applied to the controller (trim pot on the board). Threfore the controller will see a reference voltage and will know what the stepper current should be.
JohnnyYuma,
Just verify that the motors that you want to use can be connected in the unipolar configuration. That is what this board can drive.
