I have a trouble with a Variaxis 500II 5X with Matrix control.

The motion of the axis is accurate and is performing good but in when I m at A-90° with M47 active (A clamp on), when the brake come in and after the servo goes off, the weight of the tilting table overcome the brake and the surface of the table on the Z+ edge recess up to 0.004" so when I face one side of my parts at C0. with the tool tip and then the other side of the part at C180. it result in thickness variation up to 0.010" over 4".

When I do it without clamping my part is perfectly parallel but I guess working this way will kill the servo in no time.

The braking system look to be and oil chamber that deform and press on the trunion shaft to maintain it in position as an hydraulic tool holder will do.

I reviewed the oil pressure at the hydraulic unit, the pressure switch and the solenoid valve and all is performing good so I m really out of ideas right now apart from replacing the complete A axis...
