    Fanuc OT or 18-series

    Hello.
Can anybody tell me which one that is the oldest. Is it Fanuc OT series or Fanuc 18-series (msc-518) ?

AFAIK, in case of systems without "i" index
    0TA, 0TB are older than 18T
    0TC - a contemporary
0TD is a contemporary or newer

The 0A,0B and 0C were designed in the late 80s. The 0D came in the early 90s, same as the 16A/18A. The 16/18B and 16/18C came after.

MSC-518 (mori designation) came after the 0 ( Mft-4 mori designation)

Can anybody tell me if there is a way to adjust the screen brightness on these? (MSC-518)
It has the new LCD instead of the old CRT monitor and it looks like the backlight is still functioning, so I'm curious if there is a Parameter or knob I'm missing.
    Its on a Mori SL-300

On my machine (MSG-500) there's a PMC parameter (not a standard Fanuc parameter)
normally it should not be necessary to play with the brightness.
it sounds like you have some kind of LCD issue but you dont say what?

If it has the black an white LCD, the contrast adjustment is in the settings, second page down I believe.

    Thanks. I'll take a look.
The issue is that some of our operators are old and can't see the screen very well. I can see and read it just fine.
However I do suspect that lcd backlight might be going bad.
