    Puma 3100LY thread repair function

Hey everyone. I was hoping someone could help me. I need to repair a special thread, 36deg on 1 side and flat on the otherside and a very sharp bottom so the alignment of the insert with the existing thread must be precise.

Now, I pulled out my manual and followed the steps for the thread repairing function. I have set the parameters 27140.7 to 1 and 14856.2 to 0 as instructed on the manual to enable this function. After I've done this I restarted the machine and the "repair" function appeared in the soft keys.

Now when I follow the instruction to create the thread repair cycle, after selecting the type of thread, an alarm occurs "parameter(no.14847) are not set" on the orient tab. So I pulled out my parameter manual and tadaa!! nothing! After parameter 14717 it jumps to 14880.

Anybody can help me with this?

Machine is Puma 3100LY with Fanuc I-Series control. It was bought new 3 months ago.

    Thanks a bunch!

    Uly

    Hey everyone.

I am in the same situation

Anybody can help me with this?

    Thanks a bunch!
