    Nema motor size?

I looked and most likely overlooked the answer.

I am getting ready to a little machine shop mini mill cnc conversion.
Going to use cnc fusion ball screw kit.
and looking at the G540 motor kits from Automation Technology Inc.

My question is what are the oz difference in the motors?
    270 oz and 381 oz

i am thinking it is how much torque the motors apply.

    What sizes would be recommended?

I plan on ordering the mill and controllers this week.
Have all ready order the ball screws from cnc fusion.

It is the motors' stall torque rating, in ounce-inches.
The torque at zero RPM. This doesn't mean that the motors will develop these numbers while they are rotating at speed, all stepper motors drop off in torque as they begin to spin. What you will find is that those motors which have a lower inductance will exhibit less torque drop-off. That said, I've used the 381 oz.in motors on a couple of projects and I think a lot of others have too, for the mill you have they are a good match.
