Cincinnati Sabre 1250 with Fanuc 0-M

    Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on a peculiar problem on a Sabre I'm looking at.

When the reference cycle is started the control shuts down almost immediately with error "1030 Axes Alignment Halted".

Now I realise that 1030 is a PLC generated message, we don't have a PLC listing for the machine!
We only have a set of electrical drawings.

The axes can be jogged, step jogged & moved with the mpg OK.

If we align the reference marks up then reference the axes same fault.

Not sure if the machine has absolute encoders yet, will look more tomorrow.

Also it tries to reference the x axis first, then shuts down just after the x axis starts moving.
    This does not seem right.

Only had a couple of hours to look at it so far & just checked a few things.

Anyone got any suggestions or ideas that you would be willing to share please?

    Thanks

What is your procedure for aligning the machine?

Reference marks must be lined up beforehand, then hold the home buttong and Z,X,Y will align. Once the axis stop moving you can release the home button. Then you can index the tool carousel to Tool #1 and press home a final time. The Home light should be lit after you are done.

    laka,
Thank you for this, a colleague went to the customer the following day, followed the same procedure I was doing, & the machine referenced OK!
I was aligning the reference marks first etc. but it would just not "do it"!
It has run ever since, no one knows what was wrong, but, hey ho, it is working OK now.
