Mori Seiki zero return / home position

    Hello.

I have an error Z70 ABS. ILLEGAL 0001 XZYBt on our Mori seiki NL 2000Y. The machine lost their zerro point. The problems was in bateries - I did not change them in time.

Is there anyone who can help me to solve this problem? Is realy so difficult? I asked the service - they said that it will take 8 hours and costs me 700 EUR!? I can't believe...We have diferent machines and never had any problems with this- they simply asked for references, you take the machine over this point and that's all. With mori seiki and it's mitsubishi control is a scientific fiction doing this or what?

    Thanky for replay.

8 hours is quite high. Maybe 2 hours if things don't go right. It is NOT a easy procedure the first or second time doing them. The live tooling can take the longest to do. You have to do the live tools, the turret, then the XZ and sub.
