A20 Citizen guide bushing belt change

    Hey Guys,
Quick question, ha are there ever....

Bearings went bad on my A20 Swiss main spindle guide bushing timing shaft, so we replaced all of the bearing and the main spindle drive belt lost some teeth so we replaced that too, the guide bushing drive belt is in good shape, do the belts have to be matched or can we just replace one then adjust the tension out.
If we need to do the guide bushing belt, what is the best way to remove the guide bushing housing?

I replaced the belts on our A20 after the started squealing after about 3 years of use.

You do not need to remove the guide bushing. There is a cover on the headstock side of the guide bushing that comes off and a small window to the left of the guide bushing when looking into the machine. Remove that cover and window and you can access the belt without removing the GB.

Look at the exploded drawings in the maintenance manual for more details.
