I made a cnc router table, works great, but is it possible to auto probe a part?

My table works great, I have a simple part from a friend and I was wondering if there Is a way to put a simple part on the machine, using Mach3 and a touch probe to probe the part and have mach3 generate the g-code to reproduce the part?

    Thanks for the help

Yes, it's possible but you need to figure out how to do it or find the instructions for how to set it up. I think it works similar to a pattern drilling gcode setup and the probe measures the object height at predetermined grid locations to build data for creating a solid surface model that represents the object. 3D modeling software would be needed to create the model from the probed data file.
