    VMC 1000 X AXIS HOMING PROBLEM

    I recently purchased a 98 Model VMC1000 which I saw under power prior to the machine being moved to my shop. Upon powering it up after the move the X axis is showing limit on the screen but the limit switch itself is probably close to an inch from its stop. Anyone have any idea what this might be? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    does it work on a linear scale? When other axes homing, they home by moving to the axes end or moves just a little to complete the homing progress?
