controller going all weird on my Gcode!

i'm having a problem where the Gcode i get from my CAM program is totally fine.
when i transfer the Gcode to the controller, most of the code gets parentheses around them, making the machine not execute those commands!
    what am i doing wrong?

If you actually have a Haas, as you are in their forum, then it usually comes from syntax errors. Such as have GOO (G oh oh) instead of G00 (G zero zero.) Either your cad system is posting bad code or the setting for the send and receive are wrong.

Post the exact program here if you can. and to add to machineit we could probably use more info like what machine, are you transferring via rs232 or stick or ethernet, etc...

Is the machine in Metric Mode (Setting 9 = mm)?

If you try and load a program with 4 trailing decimal places, like X1.1234, it will kick it back if you are in Metric Mode, which only likes three decimal places (X1.123).

Also, if you try and load a program with Macro Statements, but Macros aren't enabled (Par. 57:22), it will put those bits of code in parentheses.

I'm with WallyL7. Post the code and we can take a look.
