    Cut Levels

I am using NX 8.5 when creating a simple profile tool path I would like to profile a path at multiple depths. I have tried different setting using the cut level option I do not get any extra Z depths passes.Attachment 211914

What type of operation are you using? If Planar Mill, the boundary plane has to be set at the distance above the floor that you want for your top pass, if it is set to the same level as your floor then you will not get any levels. For example, if you are wanting 3 passes at .250 doc then set your boundary plane at .750 above your floor. I think Planar Mill is the only type of operation that is this way, all others you set the Part Stock Offset and Multi-Depth Cut in the Multiple Passes tab in Cutting Parameters.
