    how to stop cutting in the middle of the operation and start it again at the same blo

    I'm newbie to cnc world at our workshop we have a vmc cnc milling machine with sinumerik 828d

    .My Q is ,

    how to stop cutting in the middle of the operation and start it again at the same block ?
    and the second half of the Q , let's say the power went off in the middle of cutting , what should i do ?

    Not sure this procedure will work on your control, but this is the procedure from my Siemens 810-T controller. It might help you just to learn that it is called REPOS, as in reposition. Took me about 30 minutes to find it today in my manual, as I was looking for restarting or something like that.

    I hope it helps you, be sure to check your manual for the actual procedure for you control.
