Need some help figuring out how to wire / what to use on my G0704 build

So I have been trying to wrap my head around the whole wiring job in general.

    I plan on using:
    *570 oz steppers XYZ
*MX3660 as the BOB / drivers / spindle control
*Some kind of Proxy sensor one the X,Y and Z. One each that will act as home and limits
*also running wires for the OE tach pick up

I was looking at doing a box on the back of the machine like Hoss did recently, But I found a site called automationdirect.com and I can get M12 connectors / cables / panel mounts rather cheap. So I think I want to go that route and have all the wires connect to panel mounted connectors in the enclosure wall.

So I have read that I should go with shielded cables. How would I make this work with my plan of using the panel mounted connectors?

To tell you the truth, I'm not even sure how to connect the shielding for it to work!(flame2)

Please, can someone "learn me some Knowledge" one wiring one of these machines

    Thanks,
    Andrew

The shield is a braided covering with a foil over wrap. Generally the braid is soldered to a jumper which is then tied into the star ground at the controller end only.

If you want to use a panel mounted connector, use a plug with enough pins to accommodate the shield. Most likely a 5 pin in your case if using the 3660.

What power supply are you using? And which 570oz stepper. The 3660 gives you up to 6 amps per stepper.

Btw a great source of tutorials is YouTube for info on grounding, shielding, soldering etc.
