Hello,

We have a Bridgeport VMC 560/22 and we are getting the Error Message:

GROSS POSITIONING ERROR X C

We checked the Service manual and it says --

That I should see the Parameter 1140 for the Machine Monitoring. The Value that this parameter has is 2 in our system.

What should be the correct value that I should specify here? The Manual Says the Value has to be between 0.3-10V. Should I be changing this value and check for the error to go?

What might be causing this error? Any help on points of investigation would greatly help.

Can somebody share the machine Parameter Value for MP 1140 for 560/22?

We found the problem. It was to do with the Power Module in the X-Drive. The IGBT and the surrounding circuits had failed and there was a drive fault. Got the Drive Fixed and we are back to normal operation.
