Cat 40 tool holder does not fully sit in spindle

I bought a used 1994 HAAS VF1, in the specs said the spindle was Cat40, I bought several Cat 40 End mill Holders from Redline with the Haas adapter. I just got those holders and when I try to put them on the mill they don't fully sit, I measured the holder and it does measure 1.75" on the bottom side but the spindle measurement is slightly smaller (maybe my caliper holding its giving me the variation).

I also check the inside of the spindle to make sure there is not something preventing it to fully sit, I made sure the pressure was set at 90psi and added a little of lub but it seems its not fitting. I checked the 10 holders I bought and none worked which let me believe its not the holder.

Any advice on what can I do here?

    Thanks

This not a problem, same thing here, If you damage the inside of the taper, there's room or material for grinding operation.

The pullstud looks odd to me. I believe the Haas spindle is "universal" (either CAT or BT tools will fit in the spindle, but the ATC grippers and spacers need to be changed.

If you remove the pullstud will the holder seat properly in the spindle? If you rotate the tool 180°? Is it bottoming out on the keys?

If I remove the pullstud the holder seats exactly the same as when the stud is installed. Even if I rotate it never bottom out the keys.

This is the way these holders sit in the haas spindle, nothing wrong here
