    Bridgeport Interact 720

    New to this site. my company has bought a Bridgeport interact 720 with a Heidenhain TNC 151 controller. When we power up the machine it goes through a memory check and the says power interruption I clear that but get a fault ( axis 4 meas. system defective a ) this is a 3 axis machine how wiil be able to clear this fault. Thanks.

    After doing some checking the controller is actually a Heidenhaim 351 B.

    Try a PM to Gus. he has a bunch of these machines.
    I know that under the MOD key is where you can turn the 4th On or OFF, select display size, type of communications, access parameters etc.
    But I need to be in front of a machine and write down what I do instinctively.

    I think you have a parameter mis set needs to have 4th axis disabled

    That's what we are thinking. Just found out they the company we bought this from was using a rotary table so the 4Th axis was in use. We are trying to locate a parameter list for this machine also a programing manual for the controller. Can't seem to find how to get into the main parameters.

    there are manuals on the heidenhain website that should tell you which parameters are which

    After the machine has powered up-
    press the MOD key and cursor up to "user parameters"
    Press enter-
    cursor up to "XYZ=0 XYZB=8"
    Press "0" to turn off the forth axis
    Press enter
    Press "end block"

    And the other way round what do I do to get the 4th axis on my Interact please ? Hope you can help

    Hi Monte , did you get an answer to your problem ? Im looking for the parameters toi put in my Heidehain to use the 4th axis ! Any help would be great , thank you Harry
