Facing won't seem to cut at right level

    Hi,
I have a stock piece with the top at Z zero. I have been trying to use Facing to cut it at 0.5mm below zero. I set the material top and material bottom at -.5. It just cut the surface at zero - despite the toolpath showing the cut at -.5 in Rhino. I also tried having "stock to leave" at -.5 but no difference. I tried material top at zero - no difference.

Finally I just changed it to -.6 instead of -.5, and it's cut it properly.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

    Andrew

Problem solved ... I am so embarrassed - a very dumb mistake - it was a zeroing error - I was using the wrong thickness gauge to zero! Very sorry!
