    Reset home position on VCS 430A

    The XYZ drive battery went dead and a "10 Detector Malfunction" alarm popped up.
    We changed the battery, but still have the alarm.
    The battery reads over 3.6V and the connection is good.
    I want to home the machine, but it goes right past the normal soft limit.
    What parameter do I change to reset the home position?
    Can anyone help on this one?

    Alarm 145 Require Absolute Recovery
    SMART Control
    MAZAK VCS 430A


    1. Record Number In Soft Limits Parameter M8
    2. Change Soft Limits Parameter For Needed Axis To 99999999
    3. Handwheel Arrow On Axis To Recovery Line (Not Arrow)
    4. Change Parameter M18 Bit 7 To 0
    5. Power Off Control To breaker
    6. Restart Machine
    7. Change Parameter M18 Bit 7 To 1
    8. Home Machine
    9. Axis Should Home And Align Arrow To Arrow
    10. Screen Should Show Home
    11. Complete
