My PCNC770 tool rack mod and other thing

    Hey all,

Just want to share what I have done to make my 770 more functional for me... after many tools change today, work great.

    - Added 2 thin aluminum plate on two side of the bottom spash guard, it's quite silly how that plate sit flush with the table, how are you suppose to tighten your vise? Dropping it 2 inches really help.

    - Machine out speed vise handle (I know you can buy it for 20.00 or less, but hey, can't do that if you have a cnc machine right?)

    - The wood tool rack work to pull the tool out and put it on to count it... then must do something else. I am planning to built a enclosure for the machine, so I do not want to put my tool rack inside of it. I came up with this idea. After I am done cutting, I simply move the entire rack and put it in my tool box.

    - Also engrave all the tool number on the plate.

    - Added some kitchen draw cover from Home Depot for the X and Z way cover.

    Pictures attached.

I like that sexy little vise handle. Did you make it? That's super cool.
You can buy GOOD PARTS or you can buy CHEAP PARTS, but you can't buy GOOD CHEAP PARTS.

Nice work and mods to your machine.
The hanging tool holders are nifty. I built some tool holders out of acrylic as my first project just a couple weeks ago.
I did a couple using wizards and a couple with complete work flow, drawing, cam and mill.
Lots of fun learning and following along with others on their projects.
    Enjoy

Yup... I made one for each of my vise. Turn the handle from my manual lathe and even add a little knurling (I believe that's what it called) on it. If you haven't got one for your vise, man it's so much better than that 5lbs stock handle that's impossible to use on the Tormach cnc.
