Wierd glitch on startup this morning

The Gremlins attacked my 770 this morning.
I tried to start it up, but the Computer wouldn't turn on.
    HHMMMMM.....
Shut off Computer switch on panel, back on, press button on the computer... hear a 'click' inside the computer. Nothing happens.
    HHHMMMMM......
Turn off switch, back on... nothing ...press button on computer....'Click' sound ...nothing....
    HHMMMMM......
I do this about 4 more times, then FINALLY !! The computer turns on, and powers up MACH.
So I Reference All, Z and Y reference, but the X axis is not moving, HOWEVER the X readout is displaying -75.4327 and moving VERY SLOWLY.
    Negative 75 inches ???!!!?? What-the-hell?
I reset, try again, same thing.
    GGGRRRRRRR......
So I hit the E-stop button, re-start the machine and everything FINALLY wakes up and works.
    SHEESH!!!
I called Tech Support, and they said they've never heard of such a thing.
The guy on the phone told me that it's possible that it wasn't shut down correctly, or I had an electrical issue last night. ???
Anyone else have a problem like this?

I've had plenty of computers that wouldn't start every now and then. So I wouldn't worry too much about that part of the glitch.

Could it be temperature related? You'll get condensate on cold electronics in warm air just like a cold drinking glass in warm air.

    Hirudin,
AHHHHHH yes. It was VERY humid and foggy this morning. Possibly dew/damp/fog/ moisture.
    Good call.

    Russ,

These Tormach Controllers have a video card in them that goes out. My case 2 times now.

I'm hooking a surge protector next time around when I get my 3rd Tormach Controller. Or I guess I need a temperature controlled room.

First time it happened the machine controller was already on. The screen went blank and that was all she wrote.

The second time I powered it down wrong.

All cables to the machine controller were checked with other computers. The cables work fine.

Yeah Inventor, I think we're having similar glitches.
Ever since I've been powering up/down correctly, I haven't had anymore issues.
