    ESS Smoothstepper+G540+Mach3

    I can't get motor movement with the ESS. It seems to be connected to Mach3 the green lights on the board light up and Mach3's DRO's move. It seems that it isn't outputting to the G540. The G540 works with a printer port cable. I'm running Win7 with the newest version of Mach3. I did order a new ribbon cable. I should get it today or tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated.


    Edited: I did receive the ribbon cable today and installed the recommend version of Mach3. Still no change.

    Edited Again: Problem resolved. For the last 2 weeks I thought port 3 was port 1. :withstupi

    Good you found out, and thanks for posting the solution. I will keep it in mind when I get mine (also have g540 from before)
