Yes.
Open the simulator. Click Simulator -> Viewport -> Active Rhino view.

Yes, that's correct.
Do you want it in full size? Make the viewport in full size first, then run the simulator.

I do not get that arrow displayed by the window to come at all.
Is it any better version, or upgrade version.

In the new upcoming release of MadCAM 5 (running in Rhino 5) the simulator is running inline the active viewport. Still it can be played separately as before, but this is much more intuitive

The clip you showed in your first post is actually showing the beta of the viewport simulator, it was very good but many people with a specific brand of graphic cards couldn't use it. Their graphic cards are using a bad version of OpenGL with lots of bugs in it, and the simulator was not working as expected. So Joakim had to simplify the simulator to the way it looks now, unfortunately.

There is a new simulator coming. I don't know when, but I do know Joakim has been working on it for a while.
