Question Help with NT and Vista

I am trying to get my first machine set up it is a home desktop CNC. I am having issues with the MACH 3 software. It will not install because it is asking for Windows NT. The computer I am using is Vista. I bought a copy of Win Nt 4.0. It will not install over vista easily. Any tips? Will the machine work using Vista? How can I get NT to install if I have to switch? Thank you in advance for your help.

I don't think that Mach3 will run on NT4. I've only ever heard of it running on Win2K and newer.
If you're Vista is a 32 bit version, then Mach3 will run on it. There is some info on running in Vista on the Machsupport forum at Newfangled Solutions » CNC Software Home of Mach3
