    mori seiki 9000 programs won't unlock

    I am trying to edit a tool change macro on a Mori horizontal with an MSC502 control. When I attempt to change the parameter 3202b4 I am given a "write protect". Write enable has been turned on. I am able to unlock/lock the 8000 parameters, but not the 9000 following the below process:

    Mode=mdi
    parameter write enable = 1
    parameter 3202b0 = 1 or 0....Works fine, no alarm
    parameter 3202b4 = 0...Write protect alarm

    This is the first I have run into this on a Fanuc control. Is there a way around this?

    3202 is the correct parameter (NE9), I have over a dozen newer Moris here that will allow that parameter change, no extra write protects other than the PWE, and the panel key switch. Try doing it in E-stop.
