Hi everyone, so I got this desktop cnc mill, that I'm planning on using for milling some pcbs, but I've ran into the following problem when I try to link it up with mach3, the motors make this grinding noise and are running kinda rough, but when I use the manual axis control that connects directly to the controller everything runs smooth like butter! I've tried changing the motor settings in mach3 but the noise seems to be there regardless of settings it changes in pitch and intensity when I tweak the settings but nevertheless it's there and is really disturbing. Any help is truly appropriated!

Hi motion86,
you should adjust motor tuning and enter the right step per
go to config>motor tuning

change in speed & acceleration untill you reach the comfortable sound. Do not forget to press save axis setting

It wasn't that, but turning on the sherline 1/2 pulse mode fixed it.
