    Spindle selection help

    Hello guys!

I am new to the forum. I am trying to select a spindle but am finding it very hard. My primary sources are AliExpress and Ebay.

Maybe my requirements are very high:

    collect chuck: ER25
    Primary use: Milling, Drilling
    water cooling
    Power: 3-4,5 kW
    Voltage: 380 V
    run-out: less than 0.01 mm
maintanance free: I read on an Ebay article the following: "repair time, 6 months for bearings, 1 year for spindle". Could this be true or it is the ad author not understanding simple English?

I have found many diffеrent models but they all lack something - they are either ER20, or for engraving, or with bigger run-out, or air-cooled...

You need to look for a Technomotor, HSD or Colombo spindle. Not sure if you'll find them on Ebay or AliExpress.

Thank you both guys for the information and hyperlinks. These spindles seem to be more professional than the Chinese one but indeed the price is much higher(1.5-2.5 times).

Is there still anything more cost-effective as this is a semi-professional project and spending much on a spindle for the first machine is not effective? I realize I may sound foolish based on what my requirements from the first post are.

I am not to make money out of manufacturing parts, they are for my own use, I am a machine-builder(not CNC). So far I've been using only manual machines and used to be happy with them but the time to update to the new technologies has come for me as well. I would like to be more productive and the CNC gives me this ability.
