    parameter saving

    Hello CNCzone friends,

I would like to download the parameters from a 1994 VF1 machine. I just bought the machine and will be moving it soon and want to save the parameters just in case. It has been over 10 years since I worked on a Haas and know that parameters can be downloaded. I just don't remember. Step by step would instructions would be nice.

    1. ----------
    2. ----------
    3. done

I also want to change the batteries. I know Fanuc control machines use D cells. Do Haas machines use batteries? If so where would I find them?

    Thanks for your help!

Parameters, Settings, Macro Variables, and Offsets are sent to the floppy disk by pressing List Prog, selecting
the desired display screen (Param, Setng, Ofset, or the Macro Variables page of Crnt Cmds), entering a file
name and pressing the F2 key. They can be received by pressing the F3 key.

(It is written in the English manual on page 30, for use with USB backup in place F2 F3)
    NOTE:
It is not recommended that parameters be loaded into the machine. If
parameters need to be loaded contact the Haas service department.

Thank you andre_77! I will attempt this although the machine does not have the floppy drive, only RS232 port.

    Hello andre_77

I was able to successfully save the parameters and settings before the machine was disconnected from power.

Thank you very much. Your help is appreciated!

When the parameters are reloaded into the control, any optional features that might have been activated will have to be reactivated.
