Hi, I just found out how to make a jpg file in to a vektor file with closed clean and single "no bul****" vektor lines suitable for cnc machining / engraving or venyl cuting or what ever.

    Import jpg to illustrator.

Mark the jpg, then go: Object > Image Trace > Make, then tweak settings as desired in image trace window/toolbar > Object > Image Trace > Expand, > In the Pathfinder toolbar hit Merge one time (or two times) then also in the Pathfinder toolbar hit the Outline button.

It should work to export it as pdf / dxf, or in my case just open it in Rhino3D as an .ai file.

Mabe you knew mage you didn’t. I didn’t. So I had to share it some ware

    Bles you all.

You could try renaming the .AI file to .PDF
PDF is the native format used by Illustrator.

But Illustrator also will export to .DXF which comes into most CAD programs.

And yes, years ago Adobe had a program called Streamline that allowed conversion of bit mapped images to vector format. But now its been incorporated into Illustrator.
