Posting half the tool radius for cutter comp instead of zero for tool wear.

    Hi,

All of our Nx 8.5 programs are posted with a zero value when using cutter comp.

My situation is we have legacy .NC programs that have the cutter comp. value half of the tool radius. We no longer have the Cam file associated with the .NC file. I have to make some changes and improvements to the program but not the whole job.

How do I post out my cutter comp. values for half of the radius?

    Thank You

Can you post some sample code in the format that you are wanting so that I can see the difference.

ON the tool dialog you can set the tracking point of the tool. This can control if the tool output is from the centerline of the tool or from the tool radius. I would recommend reading the help docs on this. There is an example of how to use this in the doc's
