Penny Pritzker has been Secrectary of Commerce for 6 months. What does she see as the "hot spots" for Manufacturing?
1. Innovation in manufacturing, advanced manufacturing
2. The need for a skilled workforce
3. The need for a "watchdog" for the internet.
4. Trade AND the Re-Shoring of American companies
One of Ms. Pritzker's comments that I found most interesting was that when she was sworn into office, she hung a sign on her door that said, Open For Business." At the same time trying to fit her business mind into the way the US government conducts business, which by her admission has taken her by surprise.
