Newbie question: How to alter toolpath

I'm facing off my part and want my next operation (roughing the profile) to start right after the face, but instead the tool backs up a bit in Z+ before making the cut. I've messed with the lead-in, changing the Entry Vector settings, but to no avail.

the tool will retract to the clearance plane between operations in mastercam. as far as i know you cannot force the tool to stay down between operations. if you know you are not going to hit then you can set your feed plane about -.05 ( absolute ) below the final depth and the tool will rapid to the depth instead of feeding in to depth in the Z.
If you can ENVISION it I can make it
