I may need to buy a fairly large amount (80,000 lbs) of rectangular tungsten carbide bars---about 1/2" thick x 1" wide x 4" minimum to 12" maximum length. This is for an abrasion resistant application, not machining. I would like to buy bars that have been made from carbide grindings, etc, like from a resharpening shop, but have been unable to locate a manufacturer that uses this kind of reclaimed material to make bars. The chemistry required is only stated as 88% Tungsten Carbide. No corrosion resistance required.
Is there an engineer, purchasing person, or other that can help me find the right kind of manufacturer, or at least clue me in on the correct terminology to use in searching for this?
Thanks,
