    EZ-trak DX "POWER ON FAILED"

I have a problem with booting my ez-trak dx 2 axis and need help.
The problem has been started with the mis counting of the z axis . When i set the z-axis to zero and go down it was reading oke but when i raise it and lower again to the same point the dro is of about 1 mm.
After a couple of reboots i have still the same problem but the rest of the machine was working oke.
the next day when i started the machine the x axis value is fluttering on the DRO and i normely get a message to home the machine i get nothing.
When i press 3 to move abs it displays the message "[power-on] failed".
After a couple of reboots I check the machine parameters and the were totaly messed up, luckily i had the parameters written down a while ago .
so i did set the parameters back to the right value and after reboot the machine was working again.
But the several days later i have the same problem again. i set the paramaters again but now i can't get it to work.
when i load the pfm file and select tune it is waiting for bmdc but it looks like the computer can't find it.
I don,t know what to do more.
Maybe someone can help me out here!! ,
I like to get it running again.

    Regards, John Hoek

    Hi John,

Just went through this on our Bridgeport EZTrak.

    turns out the RAMdrive died.

I took an old 80GB hard drive, installed the Operating system on it,

    and away it went.

    but try this first...

open the cabinet at the back, and then open the large gold cabinet inside.

check that both the cards are seated into their sockets, and that all connectors are there.

If this doesn't work, let me know.

I have a complete set of system files, DOS, etc if you need them.

    Al
