Tried to look up the difference in ACME lead screws on why you would go Steel or Stainless? No success so that’s why I’m posting here. If anyone has some information on the differences as to pros/cons it would be appreciated, thank you.

Unless it's going to be running in water or corrosive materials, there's no need to go with stainless.

Thank you Ger21, kinda thought that but wasn’t sure, I heard you’re the guy to talk to about motors and acme rods? Mind if I ask you a few questions? A big one came up today and am currently in the middle of a build, well just started but got the frame up, getting to the point I’m going to needing some ACME rods ect, but having fun and trying to learn as much as I can, any ways will quit talking and just ask you.

So any ways I want to tell you what I have planned and see what you think, 1/2" ACME 10 TPI 60" for my X with ball screws, 3/8" ACME 10 TPI 24" for Y, and similar to the Z, Full aluminum gantry with the wood base, wanting to get the G540 4 axis driver system, not sure on motors yet, but please tell me what you think, any input would be appreciated. My other concern is I want to it to run fast, but keep the accuracy, I’m starting to confuse myself with how fast I should make the machine to how accurate it will be, Maybe another machinists can help me out with some real experience as to what im getting into . Thanks all input would be appreciated
You said 1/2-10 acme with ballscrews??? Those are two different things.
1/2-10 acme is a bad choice. You're best bet is 1/2-8 4 start or 1/2-10 5 start, both of which are 2 turns/inch. Thes will give you the most speed for the least money, and still have plenty of resolution for what you want to do.
