    Doosan Z290SMY - " Two Turret Processing "

    Hi guys,

Are there forum users with a Doosan Z290SMY / Fanuc 18i-TB.

I want "TWO TURRET PROCESSING" on one (main) spindle.
I can use the upper turret on the main-spindle and the lower turret on the right/sub-spindle.
Everything works great, part transfer, cutoff, synchronous modes etc.
I want to turn "long" shafts in the main spindle and use a "BRUCKNER-spring loaded" live-center in the lower turret,
so both turrets related to the main-spindle ( no balancer processing ), the sub-spindle must stay open for product transfer.
I made a nc-program, two turrets on main-spindle, but that runs only when the sub-spindle is closed.
I can't find any program examples for the right nc-code for two turrets on the same spindle, left or right.

The blue Doosan Mecatec book isn't very helpfull for the right M-codes, maybe M62-M63 ??
The program "TWO TURRET PROCESSING" according the Doosan book ( page 6-1 ) doesn't work.
    This is the program in the book;

    Hi Heavy_Metal,

Sorry I have no solution for your issue. Doosan claims to have life time training and support.
Try calling them maybe they can help. That looks like a nice center you have there.
DouglasR might be able to help but I haven’t noticed him here in a while.

    Hi Brent,

The BRUCKNER center is a solution when there is no "Torque Control Function" for the B-axis (or turret) on your lathe.
It's over €600,- ($825) in Europe, so not low priced but its a nice tool.
They are available with conus, cylindrical shank, Capto or VDI.
My Doosan is a Mecatec, not a Infracore, so I don't know about the live time support.

    Regards,
    Heavy_Metal.
