Planning on building ( at least one maybe more) LiniStepper Boards.
I THOUGHT I had read somewhere that the Current Limiting Resistors
should NOT be the WIREWOUND type due to the inductance factor.
I’m having a hard time finding one and two Ohm 3 ~ 5 Watt resistors
(0.667 Ohms for 1.5 Amp / Phase) that are NOT WIREWOUND and
are still affordable.
Anyone have any leads on Carbon Composition resistors that would fit
my needs and be AFFORDABLE? Like USD 2.00 each or less?
Would it be alright to use WIREWOUND?

Keep in mind that you can parallel two or more resistors to make a lower ohm resistor from higher ohm ones. On the page at http://www.piclist.com/techref/io/st...p/lini_tun.htm about half way down there is a little javascript thing that will show you all the different possible ways you can put resistors together to get the amperage you want. e.g. for 1.5 amps, you can put a 1 ohm and a 2 ohm resister in parallel to get 0.666 ohms OR you can put a 1.2 ohm and a 1.5 ohm resister in parallel and get the same thing. With 3 resistors there are about a 100 combinations that end up with about the same thing.
