    4x4 cnc mill router

    i am in the procces of building a large4x4 cnc mill router .All the ways are 1 inch (round presion machined 1040 steel,linear bearings are bronze bearing shells .The milling head is off a mini mill x1 .Iam using the original square colume.Some people told me this one mother router and could cause lots of problems .i am going to be cutting wood,aluminum and mayme sheet metal and plastic.
    Do you have any advice if there is a problem with this design.
    is there any links you know that have built a large mill router like this..

    I gather since you're using bronze bearing shells that the shafts are not supported...have you calculated the amount of rail shaft sag you'll have?
