we tell mill to go to 0 in mach3 it will . we start program
quill comes up and travels to starting point of first drill hole hole then drills and raises to top of part with .1 clearance
after first hole i want more vertical clearance to clear fixture mounts
after first hole is complete quill raises up to top of part i need top of part + 1/2 "
i think this is called rapid plane what am i doing wrong

I really hate to even comment on this but, I think only real safe way is to make your stock as a STL solid and include your clamps as part of that solid.

Maybe someone else will have a better way.
