    Getting analog signal from pc

I would like to get a +/- 10 volt signal from a pc. I would like to do this without a motion control card. I would like to be able to do it with a parallel port or serial port. If this is not possible maybe with a cheap i/o card. Can anyone help me out? Also any ideas on software to control this voltage?

Google for DAC. digital analog converter. I have here a datasheet for a DAC0808, a stone age DAC. In google (DAC0808) it still exists. And it could be connected directly to a printer port and would need an opamp for the -10 + 10 range. This is an 8-bit Dac which would give you a resolution of 20 / 256 = 0.07 Volts. There are higher resolution DAC's, but it would be more complex to fix it to the printer port.
