Re: Torus Pro with servos and 4th axis

maybe not quite as flattering. I think I isolated the spindle rpm changes to the estop being flaky. The factory one had kinda fallen apart, so I put in another one I had.....it was the flaky one. After removing it and jumpering the wires together, I haven't had any rpm fluctuations like that.

I didn't put the lathe ops here, but I do have vids of them on my channel. This vid is actually pretty cool......at least I like it....especially the chamfering op at the end.

Re: Torus Pro with servos and 4th axis

I watched the first thread milling video. From my experience I needed to adjust the nominal diameter of the thread mill in my software to get proper fits. Each thread mill is a bit different.

Re: Torus Pro with servos and 4th axis

kvom.....good to know. Thanks! It's the only thread mill I had and that was the first time using it. I'll probably have to go through the entire testing process again when I have to do it again. lol
hhhmmm......the forum won't let me edit any of my posts....need to change one of the vid links.

I noticed in #214 above that the same vid was linked twice. I guess the forum has a time limit on when you can edit. Not that anyone is watching, but here's the link to the one piece UCA made from a water jet cut blank.

Interesting that you chamfered the soft jaws. Never needed to do so myself.
