    kflop by itself?

So I'm curious can I use kflop by itself to control 7 axes? Of course 1-3 are xyz then I need 2 more for a trunnion table I'm wanting and 2 more for controlling an automatic tool changer and yes I want to use just the kflop board cause if I can't I'll just buy the mk2 instead and learn how to write a plugin allowing me to use it in mach 3... please let me know your experience with this cause after reviewing the website I'm under the impression for some reason you need to buy 2 ksteps to add to kflop to control 8 axis and that ain't happening that's way to much $ for just motion controlling.

    Hi MarkyMark1,

KFLOP can control 8 motor axes. But of course you will need some type of Motor Driver for each axis. 2 KSTEPS is a fairly inexpensive way to drive 7 motors. What other options were you looking at?

Was looking into the mk2 from planet CNC even though that'd be a software switch but I need 7 axes because I am upgrading to a 5 axes mill and I want an automatic tool changer tooo even though it will take another 2 axes.

Regardless of the controller you use, you still need 7 stepper drives.

Yeah I know drivers are needed I just buy them with the motors Like most other people do... That's where the confusion over the kstep I didn't understand what the board was for..
